Help with Quitting

If you’ve decided you’d like to quit smoking then there is a lot of support and advice to help you through this time.

Call the Quitline on 131848

Speak to an experienced advisor who has a wealth of information and experience about how you can quit smoking for good.

If you choose, the Quit Line councillor will call you back several times, for added support.

In a recent survey 82% of people found the service helpful and would recommend it to friends.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the cost of a local call.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy

Speak to your pharmacist or doctor about Nicotine Replacement Therapy to help beat those cravings.

Many pharmacists in Northern Sydney and on the Central Coast have Quit 4 Baby information available. Click here for details (participating Central Coast pharmacies to be added soon).

Family and Friends

It’s a good idea to find friends or family members to quit with. Women whose partners don’t smoke are more likely to stop smoking and stay non smoking.

Tell friends and family that you plan to stop smoking. They may be able to provide that extra bit of motivation, encouragement and support for you during this tough time.
